vs 6-helper=boethos=reinforcements
Leaders mention THREE times in passage(vs 7-24)~vs7, 17 & 24
Q:Why did the writer of hebrews end hebrews with leadership?
A:B'cause everything rises and falls on leadership!!

1) What's responsibility of a leader?
As SENIOR PASTOR:
~I) speak the Word of God to us(congregation)
~preach w/out fear of men. [Heb 13:13-all kinds=poikilais=variegated, many-colored ; Heb4(for ppl with hardened hearts)vs 12-13-laid bare=trachelizo=to stick out neck=God will HOLD U BY THE THROAT for u to listen]
~II) be a good role model to us(congregation)
~Must live out what is being preached! James 3:1=teachers of the Word-doubly judged. Therefore, must haf 2 non-negotiobles-1)must be doctrinally pure; 2)must be morally clean
~III) keep watch over us(congregation) spiritually
~Heb13:17-keep watch=gruno=stay awake on your behalf, be vigilante, warn us of danger, be out watchman.

2) What's responsibility of one being led?
~I) remember your leaders(v7)
~Stay on your leaders side/God's side. Don't help satan in breaking up God's church!! He does enough damage as it is. If u want to leave a church, exit gracefully.
~II) obey your leaders/submit to their authority(vs 17)
~Obey=patheo=to be persuaded in a trusting way; submit=upeiko=to yield willingly
~III) pray foor your leaders(vs 18)
~ Pray for your pastors, leaders as they are often targeted by the evil one to be tempted, stayed, etc.

The tongue

James 3:1-12
1.My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgement.
2.For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
3.Indeed, we put bits in horses' mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body.
4.Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.
5.Even so the tongue is a little member and boast great things. See how great a forest a ittle fire kindles.
6.And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, sets on fire the course of naure; and it is set on fire by hell.
7.For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.
8.But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9.With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.
10.Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not be so.
11.Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?
12.Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or grapevine bear figs? Thus, no springs yields both salt water and fresh.

Summary:
The tongue needs constant guarding and requires constant taming. For humans may be able to tame all the beasts in the world, but not the tongue. The tongue, the greatest weapon in the world.....
